I got a new yo-yo. I know Tiffany is thrilled to see another yo-yo related post, yeah, I know, i'm a dork...
Anyhow, I bought a Tom Kuhn Pocket Rocket, from a guy on the YoYoNation Forum. It's used, but was taken care of nicely. I'm psyched, I have wanted one of these since I first saw one online. To my knowledge they are no longer made.
I took some pictures of it, some pictures of it compared to my Pyro, and some pictures of it compared to my Pyro and a Freehand Keychain.

I just received my shipment from YoYoNation! My first metal yo-yo! I got a Pyro (number 1448), some G-String (For those not in the know, it's a handmade string from a guy named Paul Wallace, it is exceptional stuff, and actually sold out on YYN within an hour of posting it up), and some friction stickers (2 thick dif, 2 Kentaro, 2 Ghost).
I am unbelievably psyched, this yo-yo is awesome. It is a bit above my skill level, but I had the chance to get it and the string now, so I did.
Here's a photo:
AWESOME!
By the way, I gotta talk about YoYoNation. You see, I e-mailed them a couple days ago asking when the G-String would be up, since I heard it would be soon, and I wanted to make an order for the Pyro and string together. Pat (Co-owner of YYN) e-mailed me back and said it would indeed be soon. So, as it turned out when it came online, I was downstairs helping my dad out with something. When I got back to my computer, I had a couple e-mails. One from Pat saying that the string was up and selling fast, so he would set aside one of each color set for me (7 total), then one saying that he had only managed to set aside 6 of them since they were selling so fast. Can you believe that, this man actually apologized to me, even though I was the one who just wasn't there at the time. I of course told him not to worry about it a bit, and that setting them aside was already better customer service then I have ever seen.
That is cool enough, but get this. He called me up and helped me get the order setup properly, I gave him my card data, and we finished up the order. Then he called me up and informed me that the charge was declined. You see, we keep my balance low, and just move money in when needed. Many businesses would just cancel your order. I told him I was afraid that may happen, and that I was on the way to the bank. He said......"No problem, just call when your ready"! I did just that, and heres my order today (2 days, fast shipment!).
I am VERY impressed with YYN, and will definatly order from them again in the future.
